Company Overview
We are a print communications company

PrintComm has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade, nearly tripling in size and expanding its facilities and workforce. From a three-employee stationery printer (then known as Flint Rotary Press) to a cutting-edge commercial print and publishing company, PrintComm has evolved with technology and customer demand over the past 40 years to become among the largest printing companies in the United States.

In 1958, Flint Rotary Press served the local business community as a full-service printer of letterhead, envelopes and newsletters. The original 1,800-square-foot shop was located on Pengelly near Atherton and Saginaw roads on the south side of Flint, Michigan.

Jerry Minarik, who started his career in printing as a maintenance worker at the original site, eventually became a partner in the company and then the sole owner, as he remains today.

In 1974, the company moved to its current location at 2929 Davison Road in Flint in a much larger, 6,500-square-foot facility. Twenty-four years and many expansions later, the office/warehouse facility encompasses 40,100 square feet of space. The company employs 60 full-time employees and more than 120 seasonal workers.

PrintComm took its current name in 1990 when its scope of services and customers outgrew its original name. Today, the firm serves associations and companies around the U.S. with top-quality printing and publishing services.

  • PrintComm moved into election printing in the 1980s when it acquired Stewart-Jackson Printing. That sector has grown dramatically over the last five years due to an exclusive arrangement with a leading provider of ballot tabulation hardware and software.

  • In 1992, PrintComm began producing association magazines and now approximately one-quarter of the company's business is publications.

  • PrintComm entered into a partnership with Premier School Agendas, a school specialty company, to print school day planners. Premier is the number one producer of school day planners in the world.

  • Commercial printing is still a significant portion of PrintComm's business. The company produces high-end sales promotion pieces, corporate communications, direct mail pieces and catalogs.

  • PrintComm produces magazines for independent publishers.
